Here’s what we are all about: automatic response. All our activities are designed to create automatic responses in English in you.
Our brain harbours two types of functions: the logical thought process and the automatic response process.
The logical thought process is the part of our brain that analyses data and draws conclusions. It is essential to our existence and progress. It is thanks to our logical thought process that mankind has reached this level of development.
The automatic response process is the part of our brain that automatically reacts to certain cues or triggers. We are not born with these. Our mind creates these and stores them for further use. These are essential to our existence and progress as well. The moment we are born, we create our first automatic response: “When out of breath, breathe in.” These enable us to carry out a great deal of tasks by consuming a bare minimum of energy. The brain basically goes “I’ve already see this situation before. Let’s treat it the same way.”
A language must be an automatic response. The way we speak, the way we think while speaking, all of it is automatic response. When we see an apple, our mind automatically sees teh word “apple” and our mouth automatically pronounces the word “apple.” Imagine if each time we saw an apple we had to first, logically deduce that it’s an apple (well, it’s round and greenish and wait… Yes, it tastes like one too) and then, logically think which position of my tongue would allow me to produce the sounds “a”, “p” and “l”.
That’s why all our lessons and activities at Clockwork English are specifically designed to trigger automatic responses in you. All you need to do is follow our video lessons and practise once a day every day.
You will speak English fluently.
